Hubli March 04 2018: The dream run of Bhatkal Sports Academy (BSA) team in the KSCA Div IV tournament at Hubli finally came to an end when the team lost to BDK Sports Club Hubli in the quarter final fixture on Sunday afternoon, when BSA was bundled out for 121 runs in the first innings and a close encounter in the second innings made sure the BSA gives a tough time to the opposition.
Winning the toss and opting to bat for the third consecutive time BSA was bundled out for 121 runs after the top order and middle order failed to fire except opener Zia Quazi's 55 off 38 deliveries. For BDK Mahendra Kumar and Shashank Patil bagged 4 wickets each for 44 and 14 runs respectively.
During the second innings collective bowling effort from BSA bowlers made sure the match doesn't slip out of the hands and chipped 9 wickets before losing the games in the 26th over.
Naseem Asarmatta once again bagged 3 wickets while Ismail Khan and Sawwaf Kazi bagged 2 wickets each.
With the lose the journey in the debut Div IV tournament for BSA came to an end but some wonderful performances throughout the tournament has made sure the team wins some reputation and hearts for themselves.
People from local cricketing circles on social media platforms were all praise for the team and players and wished and hoped for better results in the future tournaments.
