BIFA to Play national level tourney while representing Karnataka

Bhatkal March 01 2018: Bhatkal Inter-Football Association (BIFA) on Thursday issued a press release announcing their participation at the all India senior national football7 championship 2018 organized by football7 association of India.

The tournament will be played between 4 and 5th of March 2018 at Aurangabad of Maharashtra state where teams representing several states from across India are expected to participate in the tournament. BIFA team will represent Karnataka State for the first time in any major tournament at the national level.

Winners and runner ups of the tournament will automatically qualify for an international football tournament which will be organized at Chile in South America and Dubai in April this year.

Zuhair Armar will captain the BIFA side which will have players from different clubs from Karnatka including players like Afzan Jabali, Nadeed Kadli, Tabish Gawai, Muhammad Kumail from Bhatkal. 

Ranjith Kumar, President of Karnataka state football7 association is named manager of the side while Maawiya Mohtesham, senior pro of BIFA club has been named Head coach of the team.

The team selection from other clubs is based on trials that were organized in Bengaluru, Mangaluru and Bidar earlier.
