'BPL will remain forever' says Ateequr Rahman Muniri BPL Chairman in a confident speech at BPL opening ceremony

The seventh edition of the most awaited Bhatkal Premiere league tournament was inaugurated in Ajman UAE on Friday March 16 2018, under a new title sponsor Amin Saifullah, the president of Murdeshwar Jamatul Muslimeen.

The tournament which has been well doing justice to its sub title of ‘Connecting Young Bhatkallies’ has been a platform for people from Bhatkal to come up on one stage to witness some of the finest cricketing performances by their youngsters.

During the opening ceremony what impressed everyone was the words of great value by the Chairman of the BPL who has also been the sponsor of the tournament for most of its edition until this edition, Mr. Ateequr Rahman Muniri, the owner of Nuha General Trading which was also the title of the tournament until this edition.

During his address at the opening ceremony, Ateeq in a very confident approach said “The BPL will remain forever”. Giving the youngsters and Bhatkalli people a sense of relief who can now hope to see more of this cricketing carnival in years to come.

Ateequr Rahman has been one of the closest follower of local cricket and local cricketers of Bhatkal and has always backed those who want to go forward in to the cricketing arena including the national and international levels. He has, time and again announced his all support to those who are dedicatedly willing to establish a career in professional cricket and has rightly done so practically over the years.

What also displayed his approach towards ‘Connecting young Bhatkallies” was his word in the same speech where he said “We were together, we are together and we will be together ever”.

The title sponsor for this season of BPL Amin Saifullah also addressed the ceremony and called for the players to mainly focus on their Hardwork, Fitness and Discipline and stressed upon building unity and discipline within the teams if they ever want to achieve success.

He further instilled all his confidence in the raw talent the youngster of our community has to win and perform on in any platform, and expressed his disappointment over we as a community not being able to give them the required platform so as for them to go and announce their arrival. He also urged the local community leaders and management of the BPL of thinking about providing a full fledge cricket academy in Bhatkal while also announcing his complete support for the cause.

Chairman Ateequr Rahman said in his speech that we missed Waseem KM (Commissioner) during the opening ceremony this time, Further he said Zia Jukaku, Sattar Lanka and all GC members worked very hard to make it Happen BPL 2018.
Waseem KM is giving his day in and day out for working towards building a fully fledged Cricket Academy in Bhatkal named “Bhatkal Sports Academy” which is set to be inaugurated within a month.

A set of people including Irshad Siddiqua and others have lent him the helping hand in his cause of establishing the academy. But as the inauguration dates nears, Bhatkal Sports Academy is looking up to more well wishers who share the same vision of seeing our youngsters touching new heights at the higher levels of cricket, to come up and support the academy in a bid to go forward together with unity and vision to make it a dream come true of Bhatkalli lads donning Indian colors.

Bhatkal Sports Academy takes the occasion to thank its well wishers who has provided support to build the academy and once again count on more well wishers to come up and support us in achieving ours and community’s goals.
